Marion Littlefield Bryant LeClere, obituary

Marion "Jean" Littlefield died July 3, 2017. She was born January 27, 1951 to Royce Littlefield and Elva Porter Littlefield in Belfast. She was raised on the Littlefield Road in Jackson until her family moved to Jackson Village. She, along with her sister, Kathryn, went to a one-room school in Jackson Village until SAD 3 was formed the year she was entering the fourth grade.

She graduated from Mt. View High School in 1969. In 1970, she married Arnold Bryant. They were blessed with two sons, Scott A. and Christopher R. Bryant. She was predeceased by her husband, Arnold, on April 22, 2001. She was also predeceased by Royce on September 12, 2012 and by Elva on January 19, 2017.

On July 22, 2006 she married David LeClere from Buxton, Maine. They enjoyed many days exploring Northern Maine fishing lakes, streams and the beauty of the Maine North Woods.

She leaves behind her husband, David, of Jackson, her sister, Kathryn, and her life partner, Gordon. Also, her son Scott, his wife, Cherdelle, their daughter,s Kyia and Allura, of Jackson, as well as her son, Chris, with his special partner, Melissa, and her daughter, Lilly, of Troy, Maine.

She has an extended family of Charlene LeClere and family of Florida, Cindy and Dan Winslow and son Shane of Hollis, Maine, Suzanne LeClere and family, also of Florida, as well as her mother-in-law, Blanche LeClere, of Maine and Florida.

She also leaves her Bryant family: Lloyd and Dorothy Bryant and family, Katherine Bryant Spaulding, Sally Bryant Colburn and family, Virginia Bryant Whitney and family, also Avis Bryant Hall and family.

She leaves her special niece, Wendy Bradford and family, Jeremy Kimball and family, a special cousin, Darlene, with whom she spent many days together when they were young, many Littlefield cousins, as well as those on the Porter side of her family.

She loved her weekly talks with her aunt, Joan Porter, as they could talk about anything from gardening to their pets.

She would also like to thank her special friends, Debbie Huff, Sue Brann Choiniere, Charlotte Bishop, Roxie Hall and her husband, and Christi Nute and her husband for their support during her illness.

She worked from 1969-1999 in shoe shops and then from 1999-2009 at Moss Inc. until Moss moved from Maine to Salt Lake City and Chicago. She was offered a job to help teach sewing methods in Chicago but declined. Her last job was at Little River Apparel in Belfast where she retired.

She would like to be remembered as loving her family and trying to carry on the traditions of her Grandmother Ann Littlefield, who passed in 1991 at the age of 95. She learned quilting from her Gram.

"Jeannie" was especially known for her apple and blueberry pies as well as peanut butter cookies. She loved her special dog, Lexus, a Mini Schnauzer.

Do not grieve for her passing but remember her as a mother, wife and friend who loved to give and not to take. Enjoy each day as the gift it is with your families and friends. She was loved and will be greatly missed by everyone. She will meet you on the other side.

A graveside service is planned on July 21, 2017 at 6:00pm at the Cates Cemetery in Jackson.

Contributions in Marion's memory can be made to the Lafayette Family Cancer Center in Brewer, Main,e where she was given the best care by Dr. Magauwa and all of his staff as well as the staff at Dana Farber in Boston.
