Friendship Awards Assembly at Thomaston Grammar School

Thu, 04/05/2018 - 1:45pm

Several students were recognized in March at Thomaston Grammar School for the attribute of friendship. Each student was presented with a certificate at an Awards Assembly on March 16 and were invited to a special luncheon with the school principal.

An unknown author wrote the following: “Good friends are like stars. You don’t see them, but you know they’re always there for you.” These students are true friends because they listen and support others, are selfless and make time for peers no matter the situation, big or small, and give a helping hand with projects or are there to be a listening ear when someone is upset.

Fifth grade student, Elizabeth Barstow, was also awarded the Principal’s Award. Elizabeth is polite, kind, respectful, compassionate, helpful, and so much more.  She is very modest about all of this; she simply does it because she knows at her core that it is what is right.  She naturally has it in her to help her fellow classmates and teachers without being asked, but because she sees a need and decides to step up and help.

Congratulations to all the students at TGS who were recognized.
