CANCELLED: Rockland to host Public Forum on workforce housing issues, concerns, potential solutions

    The Jan. 24 public forum has been cancelled due to inclement weather.

     

    ROCKLAND — The Rockland City Council will host a Public Forum to discuss workforce housing issues, concerns and potential solutions.

    The Public Forum will be held on Wednesday, January 24, at 6 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, Rockland City Hall, 270 Pleasant Street, Rockland.

    “Please join us for the Rockland Workforce Housing Forum, an opportunity to learn about and have your voice heard on one of the most important issues facing the City today,” said Rhett Lamb, City Planner, in a news release. “This workshop will be convened by the Rockland City Council and will provide a public forum to discuss the ways in which we can tackle housing challenges on a local level. Please come and share your ideas and feedback on potential strategies improve opportunity and access to safe, reliable, and affordable housing in Rockland.”

    Community members will have the opportunity to learn more about housing policy, issues and barriers to housing production and strategies and potential solutions including zoning and regulatory changes, accessory dwelling units, and incentive programs.

    “We hope you can attend to let us know what matters to you on housing issues in Rockland,” said the City.
