CAMDEN — An uninjured driver walked out of the woods near the intersection of Hosmer Pond and Molyneaux roads late this afternoon after his truck veered into the trees.

Camden Fire Department, police and Rockland EMS responded to the scene at 3:45 p.m., Aug. 17.

The truck had been traveling east toward downtown Camden when it went off the left side of the road, into the ditch, and landed 30 feet into the woods.

The driver was evaluated by Rockland EMS at the scene and was not transported to the hospital. Rockland had responded to the crash because North East Mobile Health Services ambulances were tied up elsewhere, according to Camden Fire Chief Chris Farley.

The road was closed for a spell while Camden Exxon worked to pull the truck back onto Hosmer Pond Road.
