STOCKTON SPRINGS — Barry L. Tyson, 59, of Stockton Springs, passed away on the morning of June 25, 2016, at home. Barry was born Aug. 2, 1956 in Pennsylvania, where he lived until after high school. He then left home to travel.

In his 30s he found his way to Maine and fell in love with the beach and the ocean. He always said it was the perfect middle ground, with the beach like Florida and the mountains like Pennsylvania.

Barry's family was the family of friends he cherished so much and held closest to his heart. He loved being with his friends at cookouts, watching the drag races in Winterport, or just playing cards, dice or lawn golf.

Barry was predeceased by his closest friends, Dale H. Jr., Dale H. Sr., Larry T., Jeff C., Preston G., Gene P. and Rick P; and his beloved pitbull, Clyde. Barry will be missed by so many great friends and co-workers and will be forever in our hearts.

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, July 30, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Cape Docks in Stockton Springs. It will be potluck, and please bring your fondest memories of Barry.
