32nd Annual Winterberry Fair in Union
The People’s United Methodist Church in Union will be hosting the annual Winterberry Fair, Saturday, Dec. 6, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The Fair will be offering a variety of items for sale.
"As always, the baked goods tables will be filled with wonderful homemade delights: cookies, bars, pie, Finnish bread, yeast breads and rolls, fruit breads, candies, jellies and preserves," said PUMC, in a news release. "Crafters have been busy filling the tables in the Arts and Crafts Room with lovely hand-made items for wearing, home decorating and suitable for gifting."
“The Christmas Room” will feature gently used decorations and handcrafted items. Book lovers can browse Book Rooms for used books in good condition for children and adults, as well as DVD’s, puzzles, and games.
Santa and his helper will be at the Fair this year for photo opportunities from 9 - 11 a.m. Parents and grandparents are encouraged to bring the children, and to bring a phone or camera so they can take a picture of the visit.
"We look forward to the joy that children bring to any seasonal event," said PUMC.
Pastor Aiden will have games and activities for the children as well. Items crafted with fresh greens will also be available in the Fellowship Hall.
Last of all, The People’s Café will be offering breakfast and brunch items, hot coffee and tea and apple cider from Beth’s Farm Stand. Food can be purchased to enjoy in the dining space or to take home.
PUMC is prepared to accept cash and checks for items, as well as credit or debit cards.
The Church is located at 21 Depot Street (Route 235), just behind the post office on the Common. Off-street parking is available, and entry to the Fair is through the back door where volunteers will be waiting to assist you.
