Waldoboro Police beat: Domestic violence assault, drug possession, accidents
WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 158 calls for service from April 18-22. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
April 18
Corey Main, 42, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Officer Chris Spear on a warrant.
Donna Cox, 40, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Spear for unlawful possession of scheduled drugs and violation of conditional release.
April 19
Spear is investigating a report from a citizen that she is receiving harassing phone calls.
Spear investigated an accident on Union Road at 5:50 p.m. Robert Bickford, 47, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2006 Pontiac sedan. Bickford was traveling southbound, following the roadway and ran off the road. No injuries were reported.
Spear investigated an accident on the Atlantic Highway at 11:50 a.m. Alan Elwell, 57, of Spruce Head, was driving a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle. Elwell was traveling eastbound following the roadway. The operator complained of a brake malfunction and was unable to correct his motorcycle in the direction of travel, resulting in the motorcycle sliding on the roadway. Injuries were reported.
April 22
Tyler Abbott, 40, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Sgt. Jamie Wilson for domestic violence assault and obstructing report of a crime.
Tyler Abbott, 40, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Lash for violation of conditional release.
