BELFAST — A protest was held in Belfast, on the corner of High and Main streets, on Sunday, Feb 18. Indivisible Waldo and the Peace and Justice Group of Waldo County cosponsored a call for action on gun control and specifically a ban on assault weapons, in solidarity with the students of Parkland, Florida, after the Feb. 14 deadly shootings there.

The two Waldo County groups said: “We will be joining the nationwide call for a similar protest event one month after the mass shooting, on March 14 at the same place.”
