Waldoboro Police beat: Stolen heating fuel, accidents, facebook harassment
WALDOBORO - Waldoboro police responded to 144 calls for service from Feb.29-March 7. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
Feb. 29
Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated an accident on Atlantic Highway at 6:13 a.m. Michael Cummons, 30, of Lincolnville, was driving a 2011 Chevrolet pickup truck. Cummons lost control due to slippery road conditions, crossed the center line and ended up in the ditch in the opposite lane of travel. No injuries were reported.
Fuller investigated an accident on Atlantic Highway at 6:51 a.m. Samuel Powell, 30, of Nobleboro, was driving a 2002 Ford pickup. Powell’s vehicle lost control due to slippery road conditions, left the roadway, went over a culvert and rolled over in the ditch. Injuries were reported.
Fuller is investigating a report from a citizen of the theft of her purse.
March 3
Chief William Labombarde is investigating a report from a citizen that he is being threatened.
Fuller is investigating a report from a citizen that his 155 gallons of heating fuel was stolen, valued at $261.95.
Fuller investigated an accident on Manktown Road at 12:37 p.m. Benjamin Dubord, 20, of Warren, was driving a 2009 Toyota sedan. A deer ran out into the roadway in front of Dubord’s vehicle and he was unable to stop in time and struck deer. No injuries were reported.
March 5
Fuller is investigating a report from a citizen that someone threw a rock at her trailer.
Officer Andrew Santheson is investigating a report from a citizen that someone damaged her back door.
March 7
Seth Lawler, 28, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Fuller on a warrant.
Fuller is investigating a report from a citizen that she is being harassed on Facebook.
Officer Chris Spear is investigating a report from a citizen that someone broke into her sister’s apartment.
Spear is investigating a report from Irving Mainway of the theft of a Net10 card.
