LIBERTY — A Liberty man has died as the result of a single-vehicle accident on the Pinnacle Road, in Liberty.

Deputy Kevin Littlefield of the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances leading to a 1993 Ford F-250 pickup truck leaving the roadway and striking a tree.

Following a report to Waldo County Regional Communications Center, Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020, at 7:19 a.m., of a vehicle off the road, emergency personnel responded and discovered Chris Spencer, 57, of Liberty. Spencer was the sole occupant and not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office, in a news release.

Spencer was pronounced dead on scene.

Liberty Fire Department and Liberty Ambulance assisted on scene.
