Waldoboro Police beat: Vandalized vehicles, arrest warrant
WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 137 calls for service from June 27-July 5. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
June 27
Andrew Hocking, Jr., 55, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Officer Chris Spear for operating under the influence.
June 28
Officer Larry Hesseltine is investigating a report from a citizen that someone broke into her residence and items were taken.

June 29
Hesseltine investigated an accident on Manktown Road at 5:45 a.m. Wayne Ross, 38, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2002 GMC pickup truck and was traveling southbound, following the roadway. A deer ran out in front of Ross’s vehicle and he struck it. No injuries were reported.
Danny Koenig, 52, of Warren, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for uninspected motor vehicle.
June 30
Jonathan Bennett, 34, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for uninspected motor vehicle.
Hesseltine investigated an accident on Washington Road at 12:40 p.m. David Sturdee, 27, of Nobleboro, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet van. Sturdee, was traveling southbound following the roadway and operating his vehicle in an erratic, careless, negligent or aggressive manner, causing it to go off the road, striking some trees. No injuries were reported.
David Sturdee, 27, of Nobleboro, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for operating under the influence and operating without a license.
July 1
James Burgess, 26, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Spear for criminal mischief and refusing to submit to arrest/detention.
July 2
Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from a citizen of the theft of medication.
July 4
Fuller is investigated a report from a citizen that her car and truck were vandalized.
Ariana Scott, 24, of Rockport, was arrested by Spear on a warrant.
July 5
Jeffrey Howard, 53, of Wiscasset, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for speed and inadequate tires.
Bradford Davis, 40, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Spear for uninspected motor vehicle and failure to produce license.
George Ganson, 33, of Round Pond, was issued a summons by Spear for operating after suspension.
Evan Benner, 25, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Spear on a warrant.
