Waldoboro Police beat: Shots fired at a building, domestic violence assault
WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 139 calls for service from July 26-Aug. 2. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
Aug. 2
Officer Thomas Bartunek is investigating a report from Benny’s Seafood that someone vandalized some windows the previous night.
Tony Thurman, 49, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Bartunek for domestic violence assault.
Aug. 4
Devon Sproul, 22, of Jefferson, was issued a summons by Officer Chris Spear for operating after suspension.
Robert Burgess, Jr., 28, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Sgt. Jamie Wilson for operating under the influence and operating after suspension.
Aug. 5
Spear is investigating a report from a citizen that someone dumped asphalt in his pond the previous night.
Aug. 6
Jason Nash, 30, of Bremen, was arrested by Wilson for operating under the influence and failing to stop for a police officer.
Aug. 8
Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from Atlantic Labs that someone shot at their building.
Fuller is investigating a report from the Big Apple of a $21.54 gasoline drive off.
Fuller is investigating a report from a citizen who reports criminal mischief to her mailbox.
Bartunek is investigating a report from a citizen that people are trespassing and shooting guns on his property.
