Stabbed hand at domestic assault call
At approximately 10:30 p.m., Nov. 13, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office was called to a residence in Warren regarding a domestic dispute between a couple that involved the man being stabbed in the hand with a knife by another, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.
A third party had called 911 to report the incident and stated that the man had left the residence and his whereabouts were unknown at that time, the release said.
“Deputies responded and found blood spatter all over the deck and exterior of the door of the residence,” the release said.”They had to force their way in as no one was responding to their knocks and were concerned for anyone’s safety inside. Once inside they found the woman in her bedroom. Deputies were notified a short time later that the man had gone to the hospital for treatment of the stab wound to his hand.”
Domestic Violence Investigator Dwight Burtis was called to investigate and determined that the man, Lauren Tozier, 44, of Warren was to be arrested and charged with Domestic Violence Assault and Violation of Conditions of Release. Tozier remains at the Knox County Jail.
