Second McDonald’s walk through drive-through leads to arrest
BELFAST — A Belfast man was arrested Aug. 4, for the second time in just over a week after McDonald’s drive-thru staff became suspicious that he was operating under the influence.
Danny Soucy, 27, initially tried to use the drive-thru on foot, just as he did July 27. He was told again by staff at the restaurant that they were unable to serve pedestrians via the drive-thru, according to Sergeant Matthew Cook.
Once again, Soucy returned a short time later in his vehicle, prompting staff to alert police.
"He did the exact same thing [on both occasions]," said Sergeant Matthew Cook.
Soucy was arrested in the restaurant's parking lot for operating under the influence and violating conditions of release.
He is expected to appear in court Sept. 4.
