Rockport citizens seeking office have until April 29 to return papers
ROCKPORT — The clock is ticking for residents seeking positions on the Select Board, Library Committee and Budget Committee, with an April 29 deadline looming to return nomination papers to the town office.
Town Clerk Linda Greenlaw said nomination papers are available now for the following seats:
One three-year term for Select Board and Overseer of the Poor
Three three-year terms for the Budget Committee
Two three-year terms for Library Committee
One one-year term for the Library Committee
One three-year term for Director of School Administration District 28 (Camden-Rockport K-8 schools), and to serve concurrently on the Five Town CSD School Board (Camden Hills Regional High School)
Nomination papers need to be returned by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 29.
So far, Tracy Murphy has taken out papers for reelection to the Select Board.
Ann Filley, Stephanie Kumble, William Frohlich and Brooke Kehoe have taken out papers for the Library Committee.
And, Jan Rosenbaum has taken out papers for the Budget Committee.
