ROCKLAND — George H. Keating Jr., 83, proud veteran, long-time auto mechanic and beloved husband of Nancy Huntley Keating, died peacefully March 18, 2016, following an extended illness, at Sussman House in Rockport.

A celebration of George's life will be held Wednesday, March 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Winslow-Holbrook-Merritt American Legion Post No. One, 335 Limerock St. in Rockland.

Arrangements are in the care of Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home.
