KNOX — Charles Kenneth Dow of Knox, 92, died in his home on March 21, 2016. Charles was born and raised in Milbridge.

He married Alice Pearl (James) Dow and they lived with their family in Massachusetts, but spent their retirement years in a home he built in Knox.

Charles was the father of seven daughters. One daughter, Charlotte Lewis, predeceased him. He is survived by his loving wife, Alice and they would have celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary on March 24; his daughters, Sandra Turnbull of Maine, Linda Lafond of New Jersey, Diane Abbott of Maine, Bonnie Bailey of Massachusetts, Darlene DeSilva of New Hampshire and Laureen Hope of Maine. He also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. His family will dearly miss him.

Services will be held Saturday, April 9 at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 297 Belmont Ave. in Belfast. Interment will be held in the spring at East Knox Cemetery.
