Brian L. Sambrook, obituary
BELMONT — Brian L. Sambrook, 66, of Belmont, passed away on April 2, 2016. He was born in Belfast on Oct. 29, 1949, to Leroy and Mary (LaPointe) Sambrook.
Brian graduated from Searsport High School and then enlisted in the Navy, serving four years, part of which was aboard the USS Newport News. Afterward, he volunteered for two additional years in the Army during Vietnam.
After his service, Brian worked for Sprague Energy for many years, until his health forced him to retire. He enjoyed guns and old, western movies, especially Clint Eastwood's films.
Brian was predeceased by his parents; and his sister, Paula Bryant.
He leaves behind his significant other, Cheryl Gerry of Belmont; his sons, Jeridt Sambrook and his fiancé, Sophie, and Dustin Sambrook, all of Searsport; his granddaughter, Prudence; and his siblings, Tina Kinney, Tammy Bonnin, Dwayne Sambrook and Tish Sambrook.
A graveside service will be held privately at Elmwood Cemetery in Searsport.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brian's name to the American Heart Association.
Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home.
