Through diverse and dynamic events and first-class instruction, Bay Chamber balances its programming between presenting live concerts year-round and operating a Music School. Our community of 340+ Music School students represent 35 towns and 9 counties across the state of Maine and spans in age from 3 to 85. Bay Chamber employs 23 faculty who teach a range of instruments including strings, piano, ukulele, guitar, trumpet, voice, composition, and more. We are proud to serve as a creative and inclusive convening space, with our doors open to all.
Our Summer Concert Series and Screen Door Festival in July and August feature over 30 concerts that redefine the standards for chamber music. From September to June, the Performing Arts Series features classical, jazz, and world music performed by internationally renowned artists. Concerts take place in Bay Chamber's own Hammer Hall, at 5 Mountain Street in Camden.
