FRANKFORT — Walter Ernest Littlefield Jr., 79, of Frankfort, passed away on May 13, 2017, in Westbrook. Walter was born in Newburg on Oct. 25, 1937, to Bessie (Seekins) and Walter E. Littlefield Sr.

He worked in the woods with his dad, then went to Bucksport Paper Mill, where he worked for 35 years. After retiring, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, Judith, all over. He especially loved their trip to Alaska. He loved riding his Harley, and also doing things for his family – he was always fixing something or moving someone. He also enjoyed fishing.

Walter was predeceased by his parents; eight siblings; and very close nephew, Richard. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Judith S. Littlefield of Frankfort; his children, Terance Littlefield and his wife, Terry, of North Carolina, Theresa Igoe and her husband, Jeffrey, of Florida, Tamie Smith and her husband, Carl, of Alabama, and Tina Bleakney and her husband, James, of Frankfort; his sister, Mildred Baker and her husband, Earl, of Frankfort; his grandchildren, Jeff, Melissa, Stephanie, Kasha, Kevin, Jordan and Kiernan; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and close family members, Gerald, Nancy and Chris.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 21, at 2 p.m. at Sandy Point Congregational Church on Route 1A in Stockton Springs.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local Alzheimer's chapter.
