Waldoboro Police beat: Burglary, theft, arrest warrant

    WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 117 calls for service from May 16-23. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. 

    May 16         

    Seth Simmons, 32, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Officer Thomas Bartunek for burglary, theft, criminal mischief and violation of conditional release. 

    Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a complaint about three subjects trespassing on A.D. Gray property. Subjects were gone upon arrival by police.

    May 19                       

    Joshua Benner, 27, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Officer William Bragg for harvesting clams without a town license on April 24, 2016.

    Sgt. Jamie Wilson investigated an accident at the intersection of Atlantic Highway, Main Street and Washington Road. Kaitlin O’Connor, 30, of Holderness N.H., was driving a 1995 Toyota Sedan and Cameron Kunesh, 38, of Warren, was driving a 2015 Ford sedan. O’Connor was traveling northbound on Atlantic Highway, following Kunesh, who was also traveling northbound on Atlantic Highway. Traffic suddenly stopped in front of Kunesh, causing her to swerve to the right most lane and stop. O’Connor also swerved to the right most lane and hit Kunesh’s vehicle, causing damage to both vehicles. Kunesh complained of neck pain.  

    May 20                       

    Joshua Benner, 27, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Officer Andrew Santheson on a warrant. 

    May 22 

    Kyle Farley, 24, of Union, was issued a summons by Fuller for operating after suspension and attaching false plates to motor vehicle.
