ROCKPORT — Long before there was a Star Search, America's Got Talent, or any other nationwide venue for up and coming artists, there was Community Auditions. The show has been playing in New England since 1950.

Last June, 12-year-old Rockport musician Annabel Parker was called upon to perform and compete on the Boston-based talent show. It was a lengthy ordeal, the half hour show taking five hours to complete. The outcome of the day's shoot cannot be made public, but the judging is only part of the process of moving talent up the ladder to the finals. After the show airs on Fox this Sunday at 10 a.m. viewers will be invited to vote for their favorite contestants.
