UPDATE: Police seeking suspect in Union home invasion, robbery

    UNION — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate an incident in Union Feb. 10, when a male reportedly forced entry into a Sennebec Road residence, assaulted a female there and stole money and several items.

    Friday night, the Sheriff’s Office released a sketch of a woman they hope to identify and question in connection to the incident.

    According to the updated information, Sagadahoc Sheriff’s Detective Dan Reed, a sketch artist, assisted KSO in completing the sketch, with a description given by a witness.

    Anyone with information is asked to contact Knox Sheriff’s Lt. Reggie Walker at rwalker@knoxcountymaine.gov or call his mobile number, 207-975-1703, with a message or text. Any information can be requested to be confidential. A private message can also be sent to the KSO Facebook page.

    Also, the KSO said that they are actively investigating a rash of motor vehicle burglaries, along with the Union home invasion, in the Appleton and Union area. The incidents occurred between 6 p.m. on Feb. 10 and 6 a.m. Feb. 11.

    It is believed there are at least three people involved, and a suspect vehicle is said to be a dark-colored sedan. If anyone has information about the incidents or saw something, contact the Sheriff's Office.

    UNION (Feb. 11) — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident in Union Wednesday night, Feb. 10, when a male reportedly forced entry into a Sennebec Road residence, assaulted a female there and stole money and several items.

    Law enforcement was called to the home around 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 10, and deputies Scott Redmun, Pat Polky and Jeremy Joslyn and Detective Reggie Walker responded. 

    According to police, the lone male assaulted the 22-year-old female at the residence.

    The amount of money stolen is undetermined, and there was no information available on what items were stolen, but the total theft is expected to be several thousand dollars. The Sheriff’s Office said a list is being completed by the homeowners.

    They said it is unknown at this time how many people were involved. The unknown male fled the residence in an unknown location or method of travel.

    Deputies have several leads at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
