Three arrested, one wanted for Unity home invasion, robbery

UNITY — Maine State Police are on the lookout for a 27-year-old Waterville man in connection with an early morning home invasion and burglary in Unity March 5 involving a 72-year-old woman who was alone.
A warrant has been issued for Danny Green, 27, for charges of burglary and robbery. Green is described as transient, 5-feet 8-inches tall and weighing 165 pounds. He has blond hair and hazel eyes.
Green is accused with two others of forcing their way into the home of the woman around 1 a.m. Tuesday. According to Trooper Elisha Fowlie, the woman's home was not randomly chosen by the robbers, who demanded drugs and money from the woman.
"There is a connection to the woman," said Fowlie.
Troopers responded to the Wanning Road home after the victim was awoken from her sleep to find three men dressed in dark clothing in her bedroom. The woman was not injured, and she was able to call for help after an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from her.
The men also stole her mobile phone.
Fowlie said the intruders had purchased gloves, bandanas and zip ties before the robbery.
"They did not tie her up. It was a back-up plan, but didn't come to that, thankfully," said Fowlie.
During the investigation, troopers found tracks that lead from the scene to a nearby store and on a hunch they reviewed video footage at the store and saw a vehicle that seemed suspicious.
"We followed up and one thing led to another," said Fowlie. "We were able to track down two of the four involved, and they confessed and it all came together."
Arrested and taken to Waldo County Jail were Paige Lanctot, 19, of Skowhegan, Alexander Salvas, 18, of Skowhegan, and Bryan Gower, 22, of Waterville.
Lanctot and Salvas were arrested March 5 in Skowhegan. Lanctot was charged with criminal conspiracy and freed on $1,000 bail. Salvas was charged with burglary and robbery and is being held in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Gower, arrested March 8, was also charged with burglary and robbery and remains in jail on $5,000 bail.
Anyone with information on Green's whereabouts is asked to contact State Police in Augusta at 624-7076 or dial 911.
