Solstice Celebration in Belfast, Dec. 20
The Unitarian Universalist Church of Belfast annual Solstice Celebration will be Saturday, Dec. 20, at 4 p.m., at 37 Miller Street, Belfast. (Snow date: Sunday, Dec. 21, at 4 p.m.)
The event includes the spiral walk, the Mummer's Play, a children’s story, as well as offerings of music, poetry and prose and seasonal decorations. Snacks and cider will be available for everyone to enjoy after the event, according to UUC, in a news release.
The Belfast Soup Kitchen will be the beneficiary of the proceeds. The Church is suggesting a donation of $10/person, $20/family, but everyone is welcome to attend regardless of ability to pay.
Parking is limited so please plan accordingly and come early enough to find street parking or use the town parking lots nearby, according to the UUC. The event will also be broadcast via Zoom simultaneously, link available at uubelfast.com.
