Reception held for Poetry and Art X exhibit in Rockland, April 7

    ROCKLAND — April is National Poetry Month, and the Good Tern Gallery is hosting a reception for its Poetry & Art X mail-in exhibition, at Hole in the Wall Bagels, 754 Main Street, Rockland on Sunday, April 7, beginning at 2 p.m. The reception will be held at the Good Tern’s Hole in the Wall Bagel Shop, at 754 Main Street, in Rockland. The public is invited to attend.

    Coordinator Fern Axelson notes that she has received nearly 20 entries in a great variety of visual art and poetry on postcards of many sizes. Submitted works have come from artists and poets in Maine and across the U.S., including Colorado, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, other states, and also from Canada and Nepal. “We’re thrilled to see the extent of the web of the Good Tern Gallery’s community!,” said Axelson. The exhibition will run from April 7 to the end June. Hole in the Wall Bagel Shop is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. Any questions may be directed to art@fernaxelson.com.

    Good Tern Natural Foods Co-op is a member-owned food and health store, founded in 1980 to provide healthy food and wellness choices at reasonable prices for the local community. The Co-op’s Education and Community Outreach Committee is a volunteer effort to engage residents of Midcoast Maine and beyond in fun and satisfying ways to learn while improving their own mental and physical health as well as ensuring a healthy planet.
