Event has passed

CAMDEN — “Escapades, journal entries, tell-all exposés…and not a fib in the bunch,” said Camden Public Library, in a news release.

Join Maine author and humorist Retired Ranger Tim Caverly and his Baxter State Park Director brother, Buzz, on Thursday, March 14, at 6:30 p.m., as they recount adventures, lore, and characters they experienced during a combined 78 years as Maine Conservation officers living in Baxter Park and along the shores of Maine’s Allagash.

The presentation is based on Caverly’s latest book in “The Allagash Tails Collection,” Conversations with Tim and Buzz Caverly. Book signings will follow.

This is a hybrid program and will take place in person in the Picker Room and on Zoom.

Brothers Buzz and Tim Caverly have spent a lifetime working in the Maine outdoors. Buzz as ranger and director in Baxter State Park. And Tim as a ranger and manager working the four corners of Maine and eighteen years as supervisor of the Allagash Wilderness Waterway. For a combined seventy-eight years, the two brothers administered the state’s two largest, and often controversial premiere sanctuaries. Along with a lifetime of living in the Maine woods, came the real-life adventures.

“Oh, the tales that will be told!” says Tim Caverly, in a library news release.
