Poetry evening to share words of women and people in struggle, March 20

    BELFAST — The Peace and Social Justice Forum/Waldo County will hold a poetry evening to share the words of women and people in struggle, in this time of both war and peace.

    The event takes place Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 6 p.m., in the Abbott Room, Belfast Free Library.

    “We invite all poets and poetry lovers, to choose a poem or 2 to share, written by women and other voices, as we witness this challenging time in support of the quest for peace and justice,” said Peace and Justice Forum, in a news release.

    Join local poets and readers to share work by women and other poets offering their determination, resilience, humor and grief.

    Come read and/or listen to poetry to celebrate life and share the inspiration to continue the struggle for peace and justice for all.

    Free. Everyone welcome.
