LINCOLNVILLE - Peter R. Raymer, 60, formerly of Quincy, Mass., died peacefully on Sept. 22, 2016, at the Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Milton, Mass.,  surrounded by his loving family.

Peter was born in Quincy on July 4, 1956, to the late William C. and Janet M. (Costello) Raymer. He was raised and educated in Quincy and was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1975, where he was a talented hockey player. He had lived in Lincolnville, Maine, for 30 years.

He had been employed in the construction industry. Peter enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He was a devoted father of the late Michael Raymer; and dear brother of Jack Raymer of Weymouth, Mass., and William Raymer of Boston, Mass. Peter is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial visiting hours at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Ave. in Quincy on Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m.

At the request of the family, interment services will be private.

Friends of Peter’s in Lincolnville will be holding a celebration of his life at a date to be determined.
