Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce appoints new president and CEO

The Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce announces the appointment of Shannon Landwehr as its new President and CEO.

“Following an extensive search and rigorous application process, the Hiring Committee is thrilled to welcome Shannon into this pivotal leadership role,” said the Chamber, in a news release. “Her appointment comes as a result of her outstanding qualifications and demonstrated commitment to the Chamber's mission.”

A former resident of Spruce Head and current resident of Owls Head, Shannon Landwehr brings over twenty years of diverse experience in operations, strategic planning, and marketing to her new position. She has a proven track record in economic development, budgeting, employee recruitment and retention, fostering board collaboration, and cultivating strong relationships with businesses, communities, and statewide partners, according to the release. 

“Shannon's comprehensive understanding of Maine's unique characteristics, including the working waterfront, nutritional and mindfulness practices, and her involvement with various community boards, positions her as an ideal leader to guide the Chamber forward,” said the Chamber.

"We are confident that Shannon's wealth of experience, unwavering passion, and innovative ideas will leave a lasting, positive impact on our region," said David Gogel, current Board Chair.

Shannon Landwehr's tenure as President and CEO of the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce commences in April. Her appointment marks an exciting new chapter for the Chamber as it continues its mission to support and promote the prosperity of businesses throughout the region.
