The Midcoast sports scene was busy with several sporting events on Tuesday, Oct. 18. 

Below are the scores and stats for those contests that were reported to our sports department.

Varsity Boys Soccer: Camden 5, Cony 3

James Olives opened the scoring for Cony at 20:21. Eliot Matlack put Camden Hills on the board at 10:10 off of a Josiah Krul free kick. Krul then drew a penalty at 2:54 of the first half and buried the ensuing penalty kick to out the 'Jammers up 2-1. Kieran Lydon padded the lead at 36:03 assisted by Marshall Merriam. Lydon would score again assisted by Matlack. The Rams would score two more goals before Matlack would put the game out of reach from a well placed Merriam free kick.

Will Davee made three saves on six Cony shots. Nick Robinson made nine saves on 26 camden hills shots. Camden Hills had seven corner kicks, Cony had three.

"We had an exciting last home game today. Prior to the game we had the opportunity to celebrate with our seniors and their parents, and to recognize their many contributions to our school and soccer program. It was a great day and the boys played well and scored some nice goals."
