RSU 71 ((Belfast, Morrill, Searsmont, Swanville and Belmont) will open their March 30 meeting for public comment before turning to business of realignments, relocations, fuel, and extracurricular activities. The other meetings held by RSU 71 this month will be budget workshops for board members and a meeting of the policies committee. Appleton school district will be working with the town’s budget committee, and RSU 20 (Searsport and Stockton Springs) and Hope committees will work on budgets as well.

RSU 71

There will be a meeting of the board of directors of RSU 71 Monday, March 30, 6:30 p.m., in the Troy Howard Middle School library, 173 Lincolnville Avenue, Belfast. This meeting is open to the public, and there will be a time for public comment at the beginning of the meeting.

The agenda for this meeting includes discussion and possible action regarding K­Team relocation, discussion regarding East Belfast and Nickerson School realignment, discussion and presentation by Charles Hamm of the Belfast Area High School fine arts department regarding the “State of the Arts in RSU 71,”  discussion and possible action resulting from fuel oil bid opening, and discussion and possible action on request from Northport School Department regarding transportation and sports programs.

There will also be the following Budget workshops:

Thursday March 26, 5 p.m., at the Troy Howard Middle School library. No action will take place.

Tuesday March 31, 5 p.m., at the Troy Howard Middle School library. No action will take place.

The policies committee will meet Friday, March 27, 11 a.m., at the Belfast Free Library, 106 High Street Belfast.

Appleton School Committee

Appleton Village School Committee meets with Appleton's town budget committee Thursday, April 2, 7 p.m., at the Appleton Village School.

This meeting will be followed a week later, April 9, 7 p.m., at the Appleton Village School, with the Appleton Town Budget Committee also.

RSU 20

The RSU 20 board of directors for Searsport and Stockton Springs will hold a budget workshop (for the 2015-16 school year) Wednesday, April 1, at 5:30 p.m. The workshop will take place at the Searsport District High School library conference room. The public is welcome to attend.

Hope school committee

The Hope School Committee will hold a special meeting Monday, March 30, 6 p.m., at the Hope Elementary School. They will discuss the proposed 2015-2016 budget before calling an executive session pursuant to 1 M.R.S.A. 405 (6) (A) Employment matters.

Five Town CSD

Camden Hills Regional HS Intercultural Committee Meeting will meet in Conference Room 245 April 3, 2:30 p.m., to discuss ongoing projects.
