Bob Duchesne will lead an online presentation called Bird Identification Made Easy, hosted by Merryspring Nature Center, on Tuesday, February 20, at 12 p.m. 

Birds come in all shapes, sizes, and colors, and birders use these visual clues to identify birds quickly. Bob Duchesne will demonstrate these easy-to-learn and simple-to-remember clues, then reveal additional tricks and tips that experts use. Discover birds in your own backyard you never knew were present.

Duchesne’s first grade interest in birds grew into a passion, and today he is one of Maine’s top birding experts. He has led field trips from Atlantic Canada to the Florida Everglades. Here in Maine he spearheaded development of the Maine Birding Trail, authored a guidebook for the state, and currently writes a weekly Good Birding column for the Bangor Daily News.
