Maine State Police Troop D beat

    AUGUSTA — Maine State Police Troop D reported the following activity, April 3-14. Below are some of the highlights, as reported by the agency. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

    April 3

    Trooper Robert Cejka stopped Alissa Dow, 26, for speeding on I-295 in Bowdoinham. Further investigation revealed she was in possession of a useable amount of marijuana and she was summonsed for the offense.

    April 8

    Trooper Cejka stopped Lake R. Savage-Bellavance, 22, for speeding on I-295 in Topsham. Further investigation revealed he was in possession of a useable amount of marijuana and he was summonsed for the offense.

    April 9

    Trooper Evan Teel arrested Zachary Parker, 24, of Belmont, on a warrant. Parker was also charged with sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

    Trooper Cejka stopped Tanya J. Boudreau, 31, for speeding 93 mph on I-295 in Richmond. Tr. Cejka smelled alcohol and Boudreau performed poorly on standard field sobriety tests. She was arrested for operating under the influence.

    April 10

    Tooper Benjamin Sweeney stopped an sport utility vehicle on Route 137 in Belfast for a traffic infraction and further investigation lead to Joel Prescott, 29, of Waldo, being charged with possession of a useable amount of marijuana, sale and use of drug paraphernalia and a traffic infraction.

    Trooper Elisha Fowlie stopped a vehicle on I-295 in West Gardiner for a vehicle defect. A passenger in the vehicle, Christopher Lowe, 21, was on bail conditions not to have contact with the operator due to a prior domestic assault. Tr. Fowlie arrested Lowe and charged him with violating conditions of release.

    April 11

    Trooper James MacDonald visited Halifax Street in Winslow to interview Timothy Lamoreau, 26, regarding felony theft of money from Thompson's Oil Company in Waldo. During the interview, Lamoreau confessed to the crime and was charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

    Tooper Kyle Pelletier responded to Johnson Lane in West Gardiner for a reported assault. Both parties had been separated and no arrests or summonses were made.

    Trooper Sweeney took a complaint of a stolen vehicle in Waldo. The vehicle was located in the town of Knox later in the day. The case remains under investigation.

    April 12

    Trooper Sweeney responded to Waldo County Technical School in Waldo for a fight between students.

    Trooper MacDonald stopped a vehicle on Route 131 in Belmont for operating with expired registration and noticed a small bag of marijuana on the passenger side floor board. The juvenile operator of the vehicle was charged with false identification of registration plates and possession of a useable amount of marijuana.

    Trooper Pelletier stopped Dean Pushard, 45, for operating a motor vehicle after sunset without headlights on Pond Road in West Gardiner. Pushard was subsequently arrested for operating under the influence.

    Trooper Christopher Rogers and Trooper Pelletier responded to a motor vehicle crash on Neck Road in West Gardiner and Mark Newton, 45, was arrested for operating under the influence.

    Trooper Rogers stopped Scott Berry, 46, on I-295 in Richmond for operating with expired registration. The subsequent investigation revealed he was in possession of an open container of alcohol while driving and his license was currently suspended. Berry was summonsed for all of the offenses.

    April 13

    Trooper Rogers stopped Shane Sciongay, 28, and charged him with operating without a license. A passenger in the car, Rachelle Clukey, 23, was prohibited from having contact with Sciongay as part of her bail conditions and she was summonsed for violating conditions of release.

    Trooper Rogers stopped Anthony Nigro, 33, on Pond Road in Manchester for speeding. Further investigation revealed he had taken the inspection sticker from a different vehicle and put it on his own. Nigro was summonsed for displaying a fictitious inspection sticker.

    Trooper MacDonald stopped a vehicle on Route 3 in Belfast due to a seat belt violation. Further investigation revealed Audrey Cook, 33, had a suspended license and she was charged with operating after suspension.

    Trooper MacDonald arrested James Olofson, 33, on a warrant for assault.

    April 14

    Trooper Robinson took a complaint of theft on Atlantic Highway in Northport. The complainant, also of Northport, stated a vehicle she was storing in the area was sold to a dealer in Northport without her permission. The investigation is ongoing.

    Trooper Mark Ferreira and Trooper MacDonald stopped Ross Carl, 22, of Waterville, for speeding on Route 3 in Montville. Further investigation revealed that Carl was in possession of drug paraphernalia and he was summonsed for sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

    Tooper Ferreira stopped Joseph Hart, 27, of Chelsea, for erratic operation on Route 9 in Chelsea and he was subsequently arrested for operating under the influence, possession of a scheduled substance, operating after suspension and violating conditions of release.

    Troopers Pelletier and MacDonald responded to Crosby Road in Albion for a report of domestic violence. Further investigation revealed no assaults had occurred and both parties agreed to separate for the evening.

    Trooper Rogers received a report of a possible person operating under the influence in Gardiner. Upon locating the vehicle, Laura Allen, 41, was charged with operating under the influence.
