ROCKLAND - Lyman Dana Pendleton, 47, born Nov. 3, 1968, passed away peacefully on Aug. 30, at the Sussman house in Rockport, after battling a short term of pancreatic cancer.

Lyman was a strong-willed, all around good guy with a heart of gold and a spunky attitude. He was known for his hard work ethic, spending many years working at restaurants in the Midcoast area, including Cappy's Chowder House, Samoset Resort and Home Kitchen Café. Lyman had a love for music that he displayed proudly, wearing his headphones and belting out his favorite songs on karaoke night.

Lyman was predeceased by his father, Sidney "Sonny" Pendleton, and his mother, Lydia Webster Pendleton, of Islesboro; and his sister, Mary Jo Pendleton of Islesboro. He is survived by his sisters, Rose and her husband, Robert Fletcher, of Belfast, and Linda and her husband, Russell Thomas, of Lincolnville; his brothers, Ray and his wife, Patricia Pendleton, of Camden, Eric Pendleton of Rockland, and James Pendleton and his girlfriend, Theresa Dean, of Camden; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all of his co-workers, friends and the lovely staff at the Sussman House for all the love and support you gave to Lyman.

A grave side service will be held at later date for family and friends at Maple Grove Cemetery on Islesboro.

Funeral arrangements have been made with Direct Cremation of Maine.
