Letter to the editor: Youth Arts thankful for sponsorship, donations

Wed, 11/19/2014 - 2:00pm

Youth Arts would like to thank everyone involved in making our Annual Auction a smashing success! Held Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 at the beautiful High Mountain Hall in Camden, guests were treated to delicious food catered by Megunticook Market and were offered a plethora of both silent and live auction items including, but not limited to beautiful pieces of art created by local artisans. It was a great way to bring local art, goods and services to the community that supports us year in and year out!

We are grateful to the many business and individuals who donated thousands of dollars of amazing items and experiences for our guests to bid upon. We say thank you to Bruce Gamage Jr., our auctioneer, and Meg Sideris at High Mountain Hall for all of your help.

Our business sponsors provided great support. Many thanks to: PenBay Hospital Foundation, The First, The Study Hall, On the Water in Maine, Camden National Bank, FMC Health and Nutrition, I'm Safe!, Rockland Animal Hospital, Allen Agency, Wendy and Bob Weiler and Glen Cove Dental. And finally, we thank everyone who attended and gave so generously.

Everyone's donations to this event will help to enrich the lives of our children through art residencies and workshops through the school year 2014-2015.

Youth Arts is a private, nonprofit, all-volunteer organization which for more than 40 years has provided arts enrichment in the public schools of Camden and Rockport, Maine, including the Five Town High School (serving also Appleton, Hope, and Lincolnville) through art residencies and performances.
