The Friends of Rockport Public Library want to thank the presenters and the Rockport Library for another wonderful fall Seafaring Series. With six entertaining and interesting presentations over six weeks, the topics included favorite anchorages in Penobscot Bay, literature associated with the sea, tugboat operations, tuna fishing, boat building and restoration, and model shipbuilding. The speakers for this year's event were: Lolly and Jim Mitchell, librarians Ann Filley and Ben Blackmon, Ron Hawkins, Lexi Krause, Taylor Allen and Rob Eddy. Many thanks also go to the enthusiastic audience, coming to the presentations in both good and sometimes rainy, windy weather.
