DAVENPORT, Fla. — Laurie Letitia Taylor, 51, of Davenport, Fla., passed away on March 14, 2017, with her loving family by her side. Laurie was born in Rockland, Maine, the daughter of Lawrence and Linda Taylor.

She moved to Davenport from Kissimmee and was an insurance agent with Banker's Life. Laurie was a senior judge at the Walt Disney World for the U.S. World Open Martial Arts Championships. Laurie was a senior instructor at Champions Gate's Karate School in Davenport, Fla. Laurie was also a member of the Pai-Lum Fire Dragon School in Orlando, where she taught kung fu.

Laurie lived her life to the fullest and was always ready for a new adventure. Laurie lived her life by what she called her three "Hs" — Happiness, Humor and Harmony.

Laurie was a positive person and her favorite quote was "Breathe in positive and breathe out the negative".

Laurie is survived by her son, Cameron Mazurek of Davenport, Fla.; and her parents, Lawrence and Linda Taylor of Davenport Fla. Laurie was preceded in death by her daughter, Taylor Mae Mazurek; and her grandparents, Roy and Letitia Weaver.

Laurie was blessed to have the love and support of her close family and friends, Caroline DeBose, John Garcia, Pat Poland, Paula Watson and Kelly Thorndike.

Laurie was a gentle and generous person who will be missed by all who knew her.

The family has chosen to honor Laurie's life privately, which will be held at a place and date convenient for the family.
