BELFAST - Kevin L. Hustus II, 29, of Belfast, died unexpectedly on Sept. 11, 2016. He was born in Belfast on Jan. 12, 1987, the son of Kevin L. Hustus and Sherry L. Elwell.

Kevin attended Belfast Area High School. He went on to work in Belfast at Sun Services and more recently at Mathew Brothers.

In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Kevin's best times were hanging out with family, whether it was a barbecue, bonfire or smashing cake in his aunt Joyce's face in keeping with his father's tradition. He loved his niece and nephew and his time with them.

He was predeceased by his father; his paternal grandparents, Dalton and Frances; his maternal grandmother, Dora; his uncle, Timmy; his best friend, Mikey Fuller; and his beloved dog, Romeo.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Sherry Elwell of Searsport; his sisters, Amanda Elwell of Bangor and Shauna Elwell of Belfast; his maternal grandfather, Clifford Elwell; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; his very special niece and nephew, Abby and Brody; and his special friends, Shawn Merrill, Michael Gross, Phil Goguen and Dan Randall.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 14, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave. in Belfast. A graveside service will be held at Grove Cemetery on Saturday, Sept. 17, at 11 a.m., followed by a celebration of life barbecue at Belfast City Park.
