The Kelpie Gallery Grand Opening in South Thomaston

    SOUTH THOMASTON — The Kelpie Gallery in South Thomaston held its grand opening Saturday, July 19. Gallery owners Susan Baines and Lauren Lewis welcomed approximately 200 people to the five-hour open house event, including many of the exhibiting artists. The cocktail reception was enhanced with music provided by cellist Kristin Miller and the setting, Pepper Hill Farm, charmed first time visitors.

    The gallery show, The Sky's The Limit, runs until September 28 and features artists: Susan Lewis Baines, Sarah Barnard-Blitz, Allen Bunker, Sandra Leinonen-Dunn, Julie Haskell, Pamela Hetherly, and Jill Valliere.

    The Kelpie Gallery is located at 81 Elm St. (Rte 73) in the 'Weskeag Village of South Thomaston.

    Summer hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Closed Monday.
