BELFAST — Jeanette (Webb) Greeley, 94, passed away July 6, 2016, in Belfast.

Jeanette was born Dec. 15, 1921, in Sargentville, and was the daughter of Henry B. and Jennie (Grindle) Webb. She attended elementary school in Sargentville and went to Sedgwick High School, as well as Higgins Classical Institute in Charleston, graduating in 1941. She also was a 1944 graduate of Eastern Maine General Hospital School of Nursing, in Bangor.

Jeanette's nursing career included work at Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast, as well as with the Four Town Nursing Association of Blue Hill. She was also a member of the Morrill Baptist Church from the 1960s to the 1970s.

Jeanette married Elbridge E. Greeley of Morrill on Sept. 10, 1945, in Belfast and they lived in Morrill until the early 1970s, when they made their home on Deer Isle. From 1986, they made their home in Sargentville.

Jeanette was predeceased by Elbridge; and is survived by two sons, Edwin and his wife, Susan, of Morrill, and Douglas and his wife, Carol, of Marietta, S.C.; two half-brothers, John and David Webb; and a half-sister, Emily Webb, all of Sedgwick. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A graveside committal service and interment will be announced at a later date at Village Cemetery in Morrill.
