ROCKLAND – James R. “Jimmy” Hannibal, 49, died unexpectedly Nov. 2, 2014, at his home.

Born in Paradise, Calif., on March 6, 1965, he was the son of Sue Morrison Foshay and step-father Robert Foshay of Camden, and H. Thomas Hannibal and his wife, Linda, of Idaho.

Most recently Jimmy was employed at Fisher Engineering in Rockland, where he loved his job and enjoyed the friendship of many co-workers.

Jimmy will be forever missed by his mother and step-father, Sue and Bob of Camden; his father, Tom and his wife, Linda, of Idaho; his three brothers, Mark Hannibal and his wife, Megan Cressler-Hannibal, of Rockland, David Hannibal of John Day, Ore., and Justin Hovey of Newburg, Ore., as well as his nieces and nephews, Quillan, Cyrus, Evan and Isla Hannibal, Brodie Hannibal, Shantra Hannibal-Butler, and Roman and Ivan Hovey; and several aunts, uncles and cousins in San Diego.

Jimmy made friends and was loved wherever he lived, downtown Rockland, Maui, Hawaii, downtown San Francisco, Oregon and San Diego. They all mourn this sad loss, including friends from the recovery community.

A gathering of remembrance will be held Monday, Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St. in Rockland, to be followed by a reception at the home of Jimmy's brother, Mark in Rockland.
