Jack W. Randall Sr., obituary

THOMASTON - Jack W. Randall Sr., 57, passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 15, 2016, at his home. Born in Rockland on Jan. 24, 1959, he was the son of Floyd B. Randall I and Waneta J. Nason Randall.

Jack was educated locally in the Rockland school district. He entered the workforce at age 16 and began his career as a stocker at Zayre Department store. He later worked at different fish factories in the area before becoming a self-employed mechanic.

In addition to his parents, Jack was predeceased by three brothers, Floyd B. Randall II, William H. Randall and Delmar W. Randall; as well as a sister, Georgia M. Ripley.

Jack is survived by his brothers, Tony L. Randall and his wife, Michelle, and James A. Randall and his companion, Stephanie Dawson, all of Rockland; his sisters, Priscilla A. Davis, Wanda J. Bridges, and Darlene E. Whiffen and her husband, Jonathan, all of Rockland; four sons, Jack W. Randall Jr. of Florida, William Randall and his wife, Brandy, of Kentucky, Tommy Randall of Florida, and Dwayne Whalen of Bangor; his stepsons, Michael P. Lawrence and his wife, Shannon, of Camden, and James R. Ellis and his companion, Tonya Bober, of Thomaston; his daughters, Jeanine Danforth, Waneta Randall and Karena Randall, all of Bangor; as well as several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many extended family and friends.

A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, Aug. 24, at 11 a.m. at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St. in Rockland, with interment to follow at Achorn Cemetery.
