The Rockland Harbor Trail Committee, in conjunction with the Maine State Credit Union, invites everyone to a free community cookout at the Third Annual Name-Tag Day. The fun will take place Sunday, Oct. 5, from 12 - 2 p.m., rain or shine, at Sandy Beach Park.

“We’re so grateful to the Maine State Credit Union for their support of this fun, and friendly event,” said Rockland Harbor Trail Committee Co-Chairs Annette Naegel and Bonnie Kern.

Name Tag Day chef and committee member Louise MacLellan-Ruf said: “This is one of my favorite days of the year—a chance to come out and meet and greet our neighbors with their favorite pets. We certainly know the dogs’ and cats’ names, now we get to meet the humans while enjoying a cookout in the Maine fall weather.”

All are invited, including well-mannered dogs, cats, and humans. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own beverages and chairs. Favorite desserts or chips are welcome as well.
