CAMDEN — On March 23, 2017, Evelyn Pitcher Richards went to her Lord. Mom was born Nov. 22, 1924, to Philderam Pitcher and Addie (Keller) Pitcher. She was one of three children, including Lawrence and Robert.

In 1942 she met the love of her life, Clifton Richards, and they married and he soon went war.

After the war was over their first of three children were born, Gary, and a couple years after that their daughter, Glenda, and then came their last, a son, Duane.

She had a deep conviction to her Lord and attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Camden. She loved her gardens, especially her rhododendrons. She loved to garden, and planted potatoes and all her vegetables up until last year.

She was also an incredible seamstress and would sew doll clothes for Cabbage Patch dolls that were sent to Mexico and other Third World Country children, some that had never even seen a doll let alone have one.

She leaves two sons, Gary Richards and his wife, Lori Palensky, of Nebraska, and Duane and Darlene Richards of Camden; two grandchildren, Shawn Richards and Stacy Richards Pierce and her husband, Adam.

She was predeceased by her husband, Clifton; her daughter, Glenda; and her siblings. She also leaves behind many beloved cousins; nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law; friends; and her church family.

Services will be held on Friday, June 9, at 11 a.m. at Camden Seventh-day Adventist church.
