LINCOLNVILLE — Ercel A. Dodge, 86, of Lincolnville, passed away on April 5, 2016. She was born Aug. 15, 1929, on Islesboro, to Rafford and Ada (Ladd) Herbert.

She attended Islesboro High School and graduated, Class of 1948. Ercel married Royce Dodge and they made their home there until his passing, after which she moved to the mainland. She was employed as a ticket taker for the Maine State Ferry service before retiring.

Ercel was predeceased by her parents; her husband; and her brother, Ronald Herbert. She leaves behind her sister, Marilyn Pendleton; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Julia and Betty; and her cat, Kit.

Private services will be held in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ercel’s name to Maple Grove Cemetery, c/o Linda Achorn, P.O. Box 368/Airport Road, Islesboro, ME 04848.
