Emergency brake fails, car rolls into Belfast Harbor

BELFAST — A man attempting to unload his dinghy from the top of his vehicle watched as his car suddenly rolled into Belfast Harbor Friday, Aug. 19, just after 4 p.m.
The unfortunate event occurred at the public landing at Belfast Harbor. According to police, the Jeep had been parked but its emergency brake failed. The vehicle subsequently rolled backward into the drink.
Belfast Fire Department responded with the police. No one was injured in the rollback.
