CPR/First Aid classes in Thomaston and Owls Head

Tue, 09/09/2014 - 2:30pm

ROCKLAND — The Rockland District Nursing Association (RDNA) is sponsoring two community CPR/First Aid classes as part of this year's fall Basket Social season. Certification is for members of the community-at-large. (This is not CPR credentialing for professionals) The more community members who know CPR and basic first aid, the better the odds are of saving the child, loved one, or stranger in need of immediate help.

For more than 85 years, RDNA and the community together have cared for friends and neighbors.

CPR/First Aid class participants must be 18 years of age or older to attend. Classes will be held Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Thomaston Baptist Church, and Sunday, Sept. 28, at the Owls Head Community Building.

The class fee is $30/person and includes materials. Preregistration is required and space is limited.

Registration deadline is Monday, Sept. 22. Registration forms and more information about this year's Basket Social may be found at www.rocklanddistrictnursing.org/events, or contact Sara Hatfield at 594-6850.
