ROCKLAND — Coastal Family Hospice Volunteers is forming a peer support group for anyone experiencing the loss of a loved one. Because of increased interest and need, this is the fifth such group in 2014. The group is open to the community at large as well as families of hospice patients.

Many find that gathering together in this way can be helpful and healing, especially as the holiday season approaches.

The eight-week group will meet in Rockland from 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Nov. 18 through Jan. 6. There is no charge for participation, but preregistration is required. For more information, contact Sandy Yakovenko, 372-6322; or Barbara Spalding, 236-3056.

Coastal Family Hospice (coastalfamilyhospice.com) works with Kno-Wal-Lin Home Care and Hospice to provide volunteer support for its hospice patients and their families in Knox and Lincoln Counties.
