Charlotte Edith Flaherty, June 14 service notice

WASHINGTON — Charlotte Edith Flaherty, 88, of Washington, passed away June 10, 2016. Charlotte was born in Rockland to Sidney F. and Eula B. (Stone) Munro on July 3, 1927.

Charlotte loved camping, water skiing, fishing, playing bingo, going bowling and little dogs. She was a stock car driver in the early 1960s and was a very active woman right up to the end. She was also a member of the West Rockport Baptist Church.

Charlotte was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Roland; two brothers and three sisters. She leaves behind her children, William Arthur Burns and his wife, Cathy, of Florida and Annette Hazel Light and her husband, Gary, of Montville; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother; and four sisters.

A special thanks to Washington Manor, as they became Charlotte's second family.

A memorial service will be held at West Rockport Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 14 at 10 a.m.
